Shawano Area Writers has some exciting news to share.
Following member feedback, a community poll on social media, and thoughtful discussion, SAW has approved a new meeting time and location. Going forward, we will meet on the third Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Domino’s in Shawano.
This change shortens meetings from two hours to an hour and a half, making it easier for members to attend while still leaving plenty of time to connect, share work, and enjoy being part of a creative community. We will also continue our updated quarterly format: the first month of each quarter will be a business meeting, and the next two meetings will be dedicated to member writing and readings.
We are hopeful this new schedule will make SAW more accessible, more welcoming, and even more enjoyable for members old and new. As always, our goal is to support writers at every stage, whether you are just beginning, returning to writing after time away, or already deep in your craft.
We look forward to gathering with you at Domino’s, hearing new work, building community, and continuing to celebrate writing in all its forms.
