Shawano Area Writers consists of highly talented individuals. Their mission is not to make money, but to help one another grow and learn. The members range from novice writer to published authors from different backgrounds. They write in diverse genres for a variety of audiences.
You are welcome to join the Shawano Area Writers for a nominal fee of $5 a year. Any writer with a desire to improve their craft and network with other writers will enjoy meeting with Shawano Area Writers.
Shawano Area Writers became members of the Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce in August 2018.
Shawano Area Writers, founded in 1966, meets on the third Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. in one of the lower level meeting rooms of the Shawano City-County Library. There you will find the writers sharing a portion of their latest work and offering constructive critiques for their peers.
Since October 2017, we have offered transportation to members who are no longer able to drive themselves to meetings. For anyone interested in coming to meetings but unable to transport themselves, contact leepulaski2@gmail.com.
